In my never ending quest to discover all the great indie polishes out there, and there are oh so many (!), I came across Whimsical Ideas by Pam. Pam is not on Etsy but on Facebook. You can check out her Facebook page here and see all the great polishes she has to offer. I bought 4: Nimbus, Nancy's Birthday, Peanut Butter and Jelly, and Kitty Glitter. I love the packaging, the labels...and check out the cute bows on all the bottles!
Here is a shot of the back of the bottles, you can see all that fabulous glitter!
The first color I chose to try was Kitty Glitter. I already had Zoya Bevin on so I thought, this looks like a purrfect match..get it? Kitty Glitter? purrfect? Anyway...this is plain Zoya Bevin, which is pretty on its' own.
But add some Kitty Glitter and you get WOW!! I loved how this went on. I only used one coat and it was enough to give me the sparkle I wanted. And, there was no fishing around for sparkles. It was easy peasy. I also used one coat of Seche Vite for my top coat.
These pictures were taken indoors in both direct light and indirect light.
Be sure to check out Pam's Facebook Page. I know I'll be going back for more. In the meantime, I need to decide which one I'm going to try next!

My First Water Marble Manicure
OK, so I've been reading all the tutorials on the web and watching all the videos on water marbling and I'm thinking to myself, I can do this. How hard can it be?? Uh... yeah... pretty hard... I bow down and honor all of you water marble gurus out there that have mastered this fine art.
I started this morning and can't believe I worked on it most of the day. I was determined to get five fingers done damn it!! :)
The colors I used were: Essie Turquoise & Caicos, A Crewed Interest, To Buy or Not To Buy and Marshmallow as the base.
I wasn't too happy with my first nail:
Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles! But I was not to be deterred. So what if I was supposed to be working today. I was on a mission!! I kept going, and going and going. This was my final result.
Some bubbles, some blurry lines, I mean...check out that index finger..don't know what I was thinking when I did that one!
For some reason though, the bubbles seemed to lessen a bit when I put on a coat of Seche Vite. Or maybe I was just imagining it after staring at it all day today.
It sure looks prettier outside in the full sunlight. The soft lilac which appears white indoors really shows it's true color outside.
Will I do this again? Probably. I really enjoyed it. The toughest part was a) the bubbles b) getting a good design consistently and c)the clean up. Every time I would take a picture and look back at it I'd see something new on a cuticle that I'd missed. Which is why I only used my iPhone to take pics of this mani.
Now the only question is, who is going to do my right hand? I made such a mess of it with all the taping and scraping of the left hand, I'm afraid to touch it! I'll think about that tomorrow...

Lush Laquer
My latest stash haul arrived! Can I say I am officially addicted to Indie Polishes? I just can't help myself, someone needs to cut off my access to Etsy. LOL This latest acquisition, from Lush Laquer is fabulous!
I got, from left above: Mint Madness, Glitterazzi, Chubby Checker, Pinky Toes, and Dreamsicle.
I had already done my nails with Zoya Bevin so I decided to try out an accent nail with Mint Madness. OMG, perfect match! As they describe on their Etsy site: "Mint Madness is a beautiful semi-sheer mint base with a mixture of glitter....silver and green glitter in many different sizes make up this refreshing color."
This was two coats of Mint Madness and layer of Poshe Top Coat. It went on like a dream, no fighting to get bits of glitter. It's a shiny, holographic delight! I can't wait to try the rest of them.
You can order these lovelies and more directly through Lush Lacquer's Etsy shop. I know I will be going back for more!!

Chanel Peridot and Lynnderella Change
So I've been putting off getting Chanel's Peridot. I don't know why, I love Chanel's nail polishes. I guess it's because I'm new to the whole green/blue world of polishes. Well, I don't know what took me so long, I just love this shade, it's gorgeous!
Two coats was enough, although I have to say I was surprised as after only a day or so I had some chipping. Hmmmm... never have had this problem with any other Chanel polishes before. And for the price you would think it should last a week or two. just sayin...
So I thought, this is gorgeous on it's own, but since I'm also new to the world of Lynnderella and all the other fine indie polishes out there, why not try something extra on my Peridot? Enter Gold. Lots of it! As in Change. Change is a clear base with mix of gold, silver, pewter, copper, bronze and gold holograph glitter. The glitter is in different shapes and sizes, from squares to bars and everything in between!
I took several different pictures, and was amazed at the Holy Holograph of this polish! First I took a shot indoors in the daylight.
Even indoors, you can see the flecks of gold, how they shine. *sigh*
Then I took a picture outdoors in the shade to see how it would shine.
Still, the gold just pops!
But my most favorite of all favorite is when I took my lil fingers out in the sunshine. OMG!
Looking at the bottle, it seems that every color of the rainbow is represented. I did two coats of Change, one coat of Glitter Tamer and then one coat of Poshe Topcoat. I like having done this just on my ring finger as an accent. I don't know if I could handle it on all ten fingers unless I was going to a special party, wedding, etc. But knowing me, by tomorrow I will have had all ten nails done. I can't just do a "little" bling. LOL

Chanel Rose Confidentiel gets Glitzy
I decided that I wanted to try out some of my new lovely glitter polishes but decisions decision, who to pick first? Well, when in doubt... just throw them all on at once!
First I was just going to go with Lynnderella's Connect The Dots on my ring finger.
I love Connect The Dots. It goes with everything! But hey, I had to try out these other new glitters, so I decided I would go for one on each finger!
On my thumb is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear In the Spotlight. Holy Hologram! It's a hologram stringy/bar glitter topcoat. I couldn't stop staring at this glitter!! Love it!! On my index finger is Confetti Ice Ice Baby. It's a clear polish with a lot of glowy blue/gree turquoise shimmer suspended in it. not overpowering at all. On my middle finger is Nicole by Opi Love Your Life. I really wanted to try this even though I had read all the reviews that said the hearts were a pain to get out. Well, the reviews are all correct, the hearts are a pain to get out! It's so pretty though, with the added shimmer. I think I would only want to go through this for a Valentine's mani though. My ring finger is of course Lynnderella's Connect the Dots. Love this polish! As I said before, it goes with every polish out there. My pinkie finger is Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength Jewel Overcoat in White Veil. Unfortunately, the camera didn't pick up all the great bits of gold so you can see the true glitter.
Overall, I would have to say that In The Spotlight was my favorite, only because I couldn't stop looking at all those holographic bits! I love shiny things.
